We are so excited to welcome the boys (new and returning) to camp. We know that leaving home can be a bit daunting, and mail is a great way to bridge that gap no matter how long their stay. With this is mind, we wanted to send out a few reminders about how mail works here on the island.
Digital Messages:
Can be sent to campermail@camppathfinder.com
Please put your camper's full name as the subject line
All emails are printed and handed out at dinner, if you would like your message delivered the same day please send it before 4:00 pm
Physical Mail:
Our PO Box Address is:
Camper Name
Source Lake, Algonquin Park
PO Box 10006
Huntsville, ON P1H 2H1
Third party services such as Amazon have a difficult time delivering to our PO box
It takes a very long time for us to receive mail as we have to go to the post office to pick it up. Please account for this when considering mailing letters and packages last minute.
Letters Home:
We drop Canadian postage off as often as possible
US mail is delayed until we are sending a vehicle to the US, which could be as long as the first changeover. Please don't admonish your campers for not writing home, it's very possible that they have and we haven't been able to mail it yet!
Message Content:
If you're worried your camper may be homesick, please don't include messages such as: "your pet is wandering around looking for you" "the house feels empty without your energy"
Instead messages can be more encouraging when phrased differently: "your pet is being very silly" "I know you are bringing awesome energy to camp" "I am so proud of you for trying something new"
We know your campers are excited to hear from you and we're excited to deliver your messages!
Noonway!
