Camp Pathfinder is committed to supporting accessibility to the best of our ability. Given the challenges of a remote, wilderness, island setting, there are limitations especially for certain disabilities.
Pathfinder welcomes inquiries about our facility and program accessibility. We offer a wide range of programs and our ability to accommodate a variety of disabilities varies by program. To consider each inquiry, our ‘Accessibility and Accommodations Committee’ will review on a rolling basis and provide a response. The committee is composed of Director, Assistant Director, Medical Director, Nurse Coordinator.

GENERAL ACCESSIBILITY AND ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION
MOBILITY IMPAIRMENT - The camp facility is located on a remote island with no motor vehicles. Pathways are wooded foot trails with uneven terrain. Pathfinder has limited wheelchair accessibility for this reason. We welcome inquiries about other mobility impairments.
ASSISTIVE DEVICES - while there is no electricity service in sleeping quarters, Pathfinder is able to accommodate electric devices for nighttime use through solar/battery technology. Visitors with oxygen devices will need to stay away from open flames in the kitchen area and near camp fires. Pathfinder does not provide stable internet connection so we are unable to support assistive technology that requires network connectivity.
OTHER MEDICAL IMPAIRMENT - Pathfinder is able to accommodate a range of medical conditions but also has limits given our location, setting, and current staffing. We welcome inquiries about specific medical conditions as described above.
SUPPORT STAFF - For certain disabilities, a customer provided support staff can be accommodated on-site. Please inquire about this category of accommodation.
