Council Fire

A weekly gathering for Welcomes or Farewells, for Bravos!, Trip Reports, Stories, Music and camp rituals both sacred and silly. To begin and end each season on Pathfinder Island, the camp gathers at Council to await Toncacoo, the old native man from Bear Mountain. If he finds the camp community properly respectful of the council traditions, Toncacoo safeguards and returns the live coals of the Pathfinder Council Fire each year. The fires of the Camp’s spirit have never been extinguished in its 92 years.
