Flagpole ceremony is one of many long-time traditions shared by all Pathfinders.
A camper checks the daily program, posted each morning throughout the camp. Morning periods are assigned for instruction. Each afternoon, the boys choose their favorite activities. This is called ‘Optionals’. Boys like having choice each day.
One of many optionals. Mountain bike treks starting from the island and water-taxi shuttled to a world-class trail system just for bikes. Awesome and muddy adventures.
A more mellow activity. Arts and Crafts. Boys can do woodwork, wood-burning, leather work, painting, custom paddle-art, and a host of other projects.
Athletics activities. Basketball, volleyball, ball hockey, soccer, softball, ultimate Frisbee, disc golf, badminton.
The ever-popular Pathfinder game, Turbo-Dodgeball. An all-camp competition.
Canoeing optional. Work on your strokes to get an advanced award, or just spend a mellow hour out on the lake.
Back to the Staff. Owners are Mike Sladden (left) and Glenn Arthurs. They have been Pathfinder campers, counselors, Headmen, alumni volunteers and parents of campers. Sladds and Glenn took over camp in 1999 and strive to keep its wonderful traditions alive.
Camp Nurse and Infirmary: Each summer, the infirmary is home to a Registered Nurse, who works with the Director and Pathfinder’s consulting doctor, Chris Kwiatkowski M.D. of Huntsville. Careful health supervision and a lot of TLC take care of the Campers.
