Download the form, print and complete it, then mail it or fax it. Fax either to Camp's winter office prior to May 1, at 585-249-0716, or to Camp's Source Lake location after May 1, 705-633-5500. The Camp phone is 585-249-0716 winter / 705-633-5553 summer if you have questions. You may also mail the transport form to the winter address: 35 Park Lane, Rochester, NY 14625.

US Parents, Please Remember: you, the adults, need a valid passport if you are planning to come to Camp for drop off or pick up. A passport is needed for return to the US. Your camper does not require a passport for road travel to and from the US for camp.

A passport is required for air travel, for Campers or parents.

Make sure you and your Camper have proper identification.
For boys entering Canada from the US and overseas, a passport or birth certificate.
For parents, a valid passport if you plan to drop off or pick up your son in Canada.

Tips for Comfortable Passengers -
Bus campers pack lunch and some drinks. The bus does not make a food stop, so the packed lunch is a better choice than providing cash. The bus ride usually includes an on-board movie; these are G or PG titles. The bus has a rest room. Counselors are on board to supervise at all times, and will meet and greet at the bus stop.

Airline campers bring a small sum of cash for food and drink. Expect your camper to meet the Pathfinder Staff member as soon as he walks off his flight and through the Customs inspection.

Be sure your camper has his rain jacket handy on travel day. Phones and personal electronics are okay for travel days.  They'll be kept safe in the camp office until go-home day. No exceptions.

Traveling with Important Documents and Medicines
All camper medications should be in their original containers, all in one Ziploc bag with an identifying label and dosage instructions. This should be given to the Staff member on hand at the earliest opportunity. For example, hand to the bus counselors before departure. This includes over the counter remedies.

Likewise passports, birth certificates, airline tickets and other documents should be turned over to the Staff member on hand at the earliest opportunity.

Security at Airports
To avoid delays and hassles, make sure your Camper packs all objects such as pen knives, soaps, lotions and shampoo, medicines etc. in his camp trunk or checked baggage and not in a carry-on bag. Have his identification ready to show or give over to the Staff member on hand. It is useful to have the camper carry a copy of the camp transport form with him. Personal Pick Up Service
Campers arriving at Pearson International Airport in Toronto are met personally by Pathfinder Staff. Transportation is provided by Pathfinder vans.

Making Airline Reservations
Parents are asked to choose flights that arrive at Toronto airport in the late mornings of travel days to Camp, i.e. 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.  Pathfinder will accommodate other arrival and departure times if required. Call Camp if you have questions.

Camp Needs Key Information
Be sure Camp has your son’s air travel itinerary, including airline, flight numbers, and times. Staff will personally meet or bid farewell to campers in the airport. For arrivals, boys leave the plane and walk through Customs, where they show i.d. and answer a few questions about their hometowns and length of stay in Canada. From there they walk right into the reception lobby and will see Pathfinder Staff members in their special Camp shirts. The Staff personally take your boys right to the baggage claim and then to the Camp Van.

Parents are welcome to drop off or pick up their Campers. This is a good chance to tour the island, meet the Staff and talk to the Camp Director. Please indicate parent transportation on your camper transport form. Directions to Pathfinder ... When you are near Source Lake Road in the Park, use your cel. phone to call Camp for a boat pickup. Or, you can make a collect or credit card call from the calling card-only Bell pay phone opposite the Source Lake Road off Highway 60 in Algonquin Park. Then proceed down the Source Lake Road to be met by the boat at the landing. The Source road is about 1.6 km to the landing, and always a pretty drive.

Campers heading home from Pearson International Airport in Toronto are escorted personally by Pathfinder Staff. Transportation is provided by Pathfinder vans.

Pathfinder can accommodate other arrival and departure times if absolutely required. Call Camp if you have questions.

For departures, campers are personally escorted to the ticketing/check-in counter for their flight, then to the security check point after which only ticketed passengers are allowed.
