Glenn Arthurs, Owner
St. Lawrence University
Glenn started as a camper at Pathfinder in 1960, serving as a staff member and headman in the '70s, a parent through the '90s and 2000s, and a perennial volunteer supporter before joining with Sladds in ownership in 1999.
Glenn is Director of the Arthurs Malof group at UBS Financial Services in Buffalo, NY. He is a former vice president and group director at Morgan Stanley / Smith Barney since 1983. Glenn's sons Wyatt and Ryan were longtime Pathfinder campers and staff men, and his daughter Lindsay, a lifelong Northway camper / counselor also spent time on the Pathfinder staff.
Mike Sladden, Owner-Director
'Sladds' started as a Cree at Pathfinder, a third generation camper and staff man in the 1970s and '80s.
Sladds attended Connecticut College ('81, BA, Hist/Eng). A focus on photographic history led him to graduate work at SUNY’s Visual Studies Workshop. He joined the educationl staff of the George Eastman Museum in 1986, becoming curator of education in 1989. Over the next decade he directed museum education programs, working as both a team member and manager on numerous exhibitions and public programs interpreting the history, art and technology of photography.
Sons Jack and Quin are longtime campers, now staffmen. Sladds spends six months in residence at Pathfinder and the winter months working from Rochester. He is Camp's full-time Director. He maintains a ropes course certification and WFR status, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Camp Directors.
Mary Chestnut, Assistant Director
College of Wooster / Teacher Wellsville Schools (ret)
Mary has been an invaluable part of the Pathfinder experience for three decades. Her dad Al was a staff man and met her mother Helen, the camp nurse, just after WWII. While Mary attended Oconto, her brothers also made their own mark on Camp over the years. Mary came into the Pathfinder front office from a career as waterfront director and was the first femaie to hold a senior title. At camp today, she manages operations and finance. Mary recently retired from a career in middle school math instruction in Wellsville, New York. Likely Mary's will be the cheerful voice on the phone during summers. Ask her what any boy is doing at Camp that day, and she'll know!
Aydin Perese, Director of Tripping
San Antonio, TX

Aydin and Kaya will be in the HMR again this season, running the tripping program. Aydin is a camp regular over 19 years on Source Lake, a staff man and headman, area supervisor, and canoeing director. He is a longtime member of the Pathfinder school program guide staff, and an accomplished ropes course facilitator. Aydin's job is to guide the guides, organizing over 75 awesome canoe trips each summer.
Alexis Blanchard, Program Director

Monroe Community College / Midtown Athletic Club
Alexis joined the autumn school program at Pathfinder in 2013, and returned as a program staff member for three seasons. She will be putting out the Daily Programme all summer this year.
Gill Stanley, Director of Facility
Buffalo, New York
Hobart College / Stanley Steel Co.
Gill began his camper career in 1999. A longtime staff man and headman, he has been facility director for the past five years and has headed projects such as the Swim Dock and Motorboat Dock renovations, as well as guiding the Dining Hall renovation for the Centennial year, and maintaining the pace of cabin repair and tent platform replacement. Gill's also a licensed boat captain and celebrated videographer of all things Pathfinder.
Warren McDermott, Director of Canoe Shop

A camper since 2001 and a longtime staff man and headman, Warren become director of the new canoe shop in 2011. Warren takes charge of maintaining the canoe fleet and woodworking activities, daily teaching younger staff and campers to create, fix and care for Pathfinder's amazing wood canoe fleet. Warren continues to lead trips even as he builds and restores trip canoes.
Kathryn McDermott, Director of Canoeing/Area Supervisor

Kathryn has spent 19 summers in Algonquin Park. She spent time as camper, counselor and both assistant director and director of tripping at the historic girls' camp, Northway Lodge. For four summers Kathryn headed the Pathfinder waterfront and swim program. She became a director of canoeing in 2013 and shares this role with Quin Sladden. She is an area supervisor for the Cree tribe, and a popular trip guide, recently completing the Meanest Link route throughout Algonquin.
Quin Sladden, Director of Canoeing / CIT Director
Monroe Community College / NorthEast Quadrant EMS
Quin literally grew up at Pathfinder and has been a camper, staff man and headman since 1999. He manages the ropes course / zip line facility and is a Level II ACCT instructor. Quin also co-directs the CIT and canoeing programs. He spends spring and fall as a guide in the Pathfinder school program, summers as a headman, and most recently completed his certification and works in the off-season as an EMT for an ambulance service in his home town.
Mimi Deacon, Waterfront Director

Mimi started with Pathfinder on the swim staff in 2014, and took over the waterfront program in 2016. A longtime Tapawingo camper and avid tripper, Mimi teaches swimming and aquatics and leads all kinds of day- and extended interior trips.
Martha Menzies, Camp Nurse
Martha came to Pathfinder as an RN with a love of the Park. She is a graduate student in nature interpretation and is active at Pathfinder in the Earth Lore program.
Tim Goodwin, Area Supervisor / CIT Director
Wake Forest University
Tim is a fourth-generation Pathfinder camper and staff man. He serves as a leader of our youngest campers, the Mics & Chipps, as well as our counselors in training, and has led Pathfinder canoe trips throughout Algonquin and all the way to the Hudson Bay coast. Tim is a loyal spring-fall crew member, helping to get the island opened and closed or share the Pathfinder spirit with students and teachers.
Erica first connected with Pathfinder as a student visiting camp each spring with Wilson High School. She joined the staff in 2013 and became a provider of Pathfinder experiences to spring and fall students as well as summer campers. She directs the young campers' living area and helps to program them and much of the in-camp fun as well.
Jackson Hole, WY
Jackson Hole Skiing
Joe is a senior headman with a long career and resume on Pathfinder trips. He's also a veteran of the spring/fall program, a former CIT director, and has begun an active apprenticeship with Warren in the Canoe Shop.
Burlingame, CA / Boston, MA
Like so many headmen, Nick started with Pathfinder as a young camper, and has tripped all over Ontario and Quebec in the red canoes. In recent seasons Nick has led the Meanest Link, our first Circle the Boundary route and AA trips on Quebec's Ottawa Valley rivers. Currently, he shares CIT director duties with Quin and Tim.
